Actual charges may vary on a case-by-case basis, depending upon a patient’s individual healthcare needs, treatments received, and health insurance coverage. Patients should always communicate with their insurer(s) to understand their health insurance coverage and individual payment responsibilities, including but not limited to coinsurance, deductible, and copayments. Finally, the data are not necessarily representative of the relative amounts that insurers actually pay WVU Health System facilities, as payment practices, polices, and procedures may differ substantially between insurance companies.
